GiveAwayOfTheDay – Advanced Font Viewer

Thought I would pass along today’s GiveAway software…it’s pretty slick for viewing and managing your fonts! It’s called Advanced Font Viewer. If you’re like me, you have tons of fonts installed for various projects or needs…and then they sit on your system causing it to slow down programs. Then you get to a point and you have no clue what all your fonts are! This is a slick program that will make this easier to manage your fonts. Shows previews, you can print the list, delete, add, sort, etc.
Remember since it’s the Giveaway of the DAY, you must download AND install it TODAY.

Another favorite Blog – Tire Shop
I was sent to this blog today in one of those co-worker e-mails with subject “Need a laugh?” Of course, I love laughs! So, it turns out Tire Shop is the ’stage name’ this guy uses to remain anonymous, and “the company” is how he references his corporate place of business. Even funnier as it turns out is that “the company” is where I used to work!
Anyway, it is totally hilarious, crying, laugh-out-loud-by-yourself kind of funny blogs….and I’m not sure if that is because I’ve experienced most all of it my last 10 years of corporate employment, or just because it’s that funny. So please let me know what you think.
I just can’t stop going back there reading older posts!

Here’s some of my favorites so far if you want to start somewhere:

Vital Juice Daily posted a good short little post today about making your workspace more ergonomic.
Do yourself a favor and take 3 minutes to evaluate the workspace(s) you spend too many hours a day!

Perceptive Pixel is one of the most amazing multi-touch interactive computer systems I’ve seen….CNN is/will be using one of them.
At a starting price of $100,000, I’m thinking the founder has no debts to worry about!

Today’s Wacky Website was a bust, so I’m giving you something very useful instead! It’s called Songza, a very slick Web 2.0 enabled music search engine and internet player. Songza lets you search, play, link-to/embed, or add to a playlist, mp3 files from a huge source of places…presented in a very slim, slick, simple Web 2.0 browser interface. (be warned, IE 6 doesn’t handle Web 2.0 stuff so either get FireFox or IE 7 if you don’t already use them)Songza comes from a company called Humanized, which was started by Apple founder Jef Raskin’s son, Aza. Humanized has another awesome tool that I have quickly grown to love and use on a daily basis, called Enso.
Enso Words is a (free) tiny little footprint app that is a universal spell checker, dictionary, word/character counter, and thesaurus that silently runs in the background. Very awesome, Humanized is cranking out some amazing stuff, check them out!
