On the Top 10 Places to Eat Before You Die: Arthur Bryants (the original)!

Wow! Yahoo just posted their article with the top places to eat before you pass…and he says:
If you really want to get folks riled up, don’t talk politics or religion — name the place you think has the best barbecue. Here it is: Arthur Bryant’s in Kansas City, Mo. Yes, I know the venerable Mr. Bryant has gone on to his reward. Yes, I know they’ve branched out. So go to the original on Brooklyn Avenue, where, in a setting that can be called simple, you’ll feast on the most sublime, tender ribs you can imagine. I’ve tried barbecue all over the country, and this remains my favorite.
So there ya have it folks! My thoughts are that you can’t judge Bryant’s by the other locations…the one out at the KS Speedway totally sucks! And I haven’t had the ribs at the original location (I’m always a burnt ends guy) so I’ll have to try them next time.

No commentsS.S. Normandy Firework
These were new (at least to me) this year. The Normandy Landing Craft. Whistles while giving off white flashes from the stern, then the helicopter takes off. Blue light and crackling white come from the lander stack and red light then crackling white from the artillery gun. The front landing gate drops open and releases a landing tank which drives out landward with a crackling white display.
This one did everything it was supposed to, but then kind of had a fire on-deck!
Giveaway of the Day

I came across one of those little gems on the web the other day. It’s called “Giveaway of the Day”…a site that daily (or longer sometimes) has links to full registered versions of software. Why you ask? (I did!) Because they provide a review, and links/information to other products from the companies…spreading word, good reviews, and goodness to the community! It’s a great concept, you get the current version, registration code, etc…but it’s only good for that version, no further upgrades of course! What do you want for free, you’re money back?!
Go get you some free goodness! Link

It’s Bass Opener (Memorial Weekend for some of you) and I’m going to MN Lake Country. It’s been a very late start to summer up there (the ice just melted from the lake a few weeks ago!) so hopefully the weather will be good, we will catch some fish, and I’ll get my name on the trophy again!
Have a Kick Bass weekend everyone =)
