NBC really dropped the ball!

So it’s only been like 100 years since one family has been in the same event in the same Olympics, right? And even if you’ve never heard of the Lopez family, I bet you’ve seen a commercial on TV with Taekwondo, right? Well that’s the Lopez Family, and Steven the oldest fighting is the Gold Medalist the previous two Olympics! Two of them are fighting right now, but yet NONE of the Taewkondo is being broadcast on NBC at all. It’s only available on NBCOlympics.com. So you go there, click the live link to watch the TKD matches right now…AND NOTHING! It never connects….because there’s probably 50 million people trying to do the same thing! Nice job doing your research on this one NBC! COME ON!!!

Recommended Black Belt

03292008_img_0230.jpgWow! Kevin just got his latest TaeKwonDo belt during testing today….he’s now in the rank of Recommended Black Belt! It’s hard to believe he was 7 when he started on his journey to becoming a Black Belt, and now after just turning 11 years old, he’s ONE belt away from that honorable rank of a Black Belt!

We couldn’t be prouder, he has really done some amazing things and come a long way since tying on that first White Belt!

Congratulations son, you are the best! :-)

Slam and Bamb

kc_classic.jpgTwo tournaments are coming up for our Taekwondo school (Gautreauxs), and boy are we ready! The two tournaments are the Intramural and the Kansas City Classic. I will be competing in forms competition, doing Crane Form and Chil-Jong….as well as my favorite competition, sparring.

I’m training hard to get ready for Slam and Bamb!
